What is Combined Heat & Power / Cogeneration

Combined heat and power (CHP) is an energy efficiency technology that provides a cost-effective means of generating low-carbon or renewable energy.
The efficiency of a CHP plant can reach in excess of 80%. By comparison, the efficiency of a coal-fired power generating station is generally around 38%.
